Calling all teachers, parents and budding
student writers! Welcome to our essay contest!
Now in its 7th year.
Our goal is to encourage middle school students
to explore Jewish life, through learning about
our history, religion and culture.
Entries are judged on innovative research,
originality of thought and quality of writing.
This year's writing categories are:
- Creative Writing
- True Story: Personal or Family
- Research
- Poetry
Submission Deadline: April 9, 2010
Winners announced by May 17, 2010
Cash prizes in each category:
- First place: $100
- Second place: $50
- Third place: $25
- Winner's teacher honorarium: $50
